How to get your Google review link

Three honest methods. Use Google’s dashboard if you manage the listing. Use our generator when you do not want to hunt that screen.

“How to get a Google review link” is a dashboard problem for some owners and a paste problem for everyone else. You do not need review automation. You need the write-review URL for this shop, then you send it.

Google’s own help page is titled “Create a Google link or QR code to request reviews.” That is method 1. Methods 2 and 3 exist because a lot of shops never open that screen: the owner is on a phone, the office manager does not have the Google login, or the listing was claimed years ago and nobody remembers the password. Those shops still have a public Place ID.

2. Place ID + our generatorNoYesYou have the Place ID.

Method 1 — Google Business Profile

Google’s own help is Create a Google link or QR code to request reviews. On a computer, open the profile, choose the reviews tools, and copy the link. They also show a QR. That QR step is not available on a phone. If you are already in the dashboard, use Google. We are not a replacement for Business Profile.

Method 2 — Place ID and our generator

A Place ID is the public id for the listing. Paste it into the Google review link generator. We output the official writereview?placeid= URL. If you do not have the id, look it up in Google’s Place ID Finder. We do not clone that finder. Google Place ID, explained is the short version.

Method 3 — Maps URL paste

Open the shop in Google Maps. Tap Share. Paste that URL into the same generator. We pull the Place ID out of the final address. We do not scrape the Maps page. Short links sometimes hide the id; then fall back to method 2.

We are method 2 and 3 when you do not want to hunt the dashboard — an agency, a tech on a job, a second location, or a phone in the driveway. After you have the link, send it yourself. Read Google review link for text if you want the wording. Pricing is $29/month to save the shop.

After you have the URL

Copy it. Put it in a text. Or print a QR for the counter. Do not paste it into a blast list. Do not buy a “review automation” add-on that texts strangers. The person who just paid you is the only person this is for.

If you manage several shops, generate once per Place ID and label the saved shop with the location name. Sending the wrong listing’s form is worse than sending nothing — the customer lands on a place they did not visit. We will not promise that a correct link makes you rank. It only opens the right form.

Still stuck? Open the listing in Maps yourself, share it, and paste. If that fails, open Place ID Finder, search the shop name and address, copy the id, and paste that. Then send the text. That is the whole how-to.

Questions

Do I have to use Google Business Profile?

No. That is method 1 if you manage the listing. Methods 2 and 3 use a Place ID or a Maps share link in our generator.

Is using a Place ID a hack?

No. A Place ID is a public identifier for a listing. Google documents it and publishes a Place ID Finder.

Will this make me rank?

We do not promise rankings. A same-day ask is just easier for the customer than hunting the form.
