askforstars.com is operated by Media Yard LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company, New Jersey, United States. Contact hello@askforstars.com. We do not publish a street address.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, UK GDPR and EU GDPR apply to personal data we process about you.

What we collect

  • Account email, if you log in or pay.
  • Shop name, Place ID, and text script, if you save a shop.
  • Generate logs: a timestamp and that a generate happened. Not customer names, phones, or review bodies.

If you only generate once, the Place ID and script can stay on your phone in browser storage.

What we do not collect

No customer phone numbers in v1. We do not need them. You keep the numbers. There is no theme cookie. We do not store the body of a Google review.

How we use it

To make the write-review URL, to save a paid shop so you do not paste Maps again, to send a magic-link login, and to keep the product running. We do not send texts. We do not post reviews. We do not train models on this data.

Payments and login

If you pay, Stripe processes the card. Magic-link login uses your email. If email sending is not configured, we show the link on screen.

Google

We build a Google write-review URL from a Place ID you paste or that we extract from a Maps URL. If a Places lookup key is later configured, Google LLC would process that lookup. v1 works from paste without that key.

Security and breach

Traffic is sent over TLS. If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we aim to notify affected people and, where the law requires, regulators within 72 hours.

Retention

Paid shop records stay while the subscription is active and a short time after. Generate logs are usage metadata, not customer PII. Write hello@askforstars.com to delete a shop record.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy, a correction, or a delete of account data we hold. If UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, you may also object or complain to a supervisory authority.

Children

Askforstars is for business owners, not for children.

Changes

We will date this page when it changes. Keep using the service after a change means you accept the new text, unless the law says we need a clearer ask.
